Our
Story

Get to Know Us

The Centre for Resilience and Social Development is a non-profit organization established in 2004 on the sacred land of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation people with the mission to build stronger and resilient communities.

Our Approach

At CRSD, we apply a holistic and systemic approach to support system-impacted individuals, groups, children, youth, and families who experience social inequities and systemic barriers. We understand the complex intersectionality of these challenges and tailor our programs to address them comprehensively.

Recognizing the profound effects of trauma, our approach is grounded in an evidence-based framework that prioritizes healing and resilience. We focus on addressing intergenerational trauma by providing interventions that are both culturally responsive and trauma-informed.

As the leading Canadian organization, we spearhead the implementation of the Trauma Systems Therapy for Refugees (TST-R) model nationwide, ensuring that our work consistently supports the unique needs of our communities.
